About the podcast hosts
Richard ‘Dick’ Gorman
Richard Gorman is a business owner based in Sydney, Australia.
Dick had nine lives even before the prostate cancer. He’s worked in advertising, and as a taxi driver, a courier with Contiki through Europe and ran boat charters in the south of France. He spent three years as a stand-up comedian, performing at the Comedy Stores in London and in Hollywood.
Around that time he started a finance business out of a terrace in Sydney’s Surry Hills. From humble beginnings Dick has built what is now Australia's largest provider of pharmacy funding.
Outside of that, he's an avid golfer and walker, has climbed Kilimanjaro, has a son and a daughter and splits his time between Sydney and Tasmania with his partner, Dr Rybak.
Dick met Steve initially in a business capacity, but the two have now been mates for too many years to mention.
At 54, Dick was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Now 18 years on and in good health, that experience sits at the heart of why he's co-hosting this podcast.

Let’s get serious for a sec
Prostate Cancer isn’t a disease that has to kill you!
It’s a disease you can treat and you can beat.
But you have to take it seriously. Get checked. Listen to the medical advice.
It can be managed, and life will go on beautifully afterwards.
Dick got through it, and so can you.
